Early Thursday morning, Evelyn and Rachel boarded a flight from SFO to Manila to start our next year of foreign assigment with Wycliffe.
Just this last weekend, all of us went camping in a beautiful park by a lake in Ventura, CA. It was one of those rare times that we can get together as a family. We spent the weekend sitting around a campfire, reminiscing about life in Davao City and California, and sharing our future plans into the early morning hours.
It was again hard for all when time went so fast, and we had to say our goodbyes on Sunday after lunch. Now, Tim, Chesney and Caleb are back in Scotts Valley, Lem in Ventura, Oli in La Mirada, Evelyn and Rachel in Manila, and I in the SF Bay Area.
We look forward to another get together in May 2007 to celebrate Lem’s and Oli’s graduation. But for now, Fall is almost upon us — another semester of study for Lem, Oli and Rachel. And I’ll be staying in the Bay Area until October working and preparing for another semester of teaching in Manila starting November.
As I wait for a call by one of our churches as a foreign missionary, we pray that God will grant us patience and that we may obey his will with rejoicing.

Nice family picture you guys!! It was fun to see the whole Peckham clan here in Davao recently!
I am so happy you were all able to gather together before the Fall season begins and make new memories to last you till you are gathered again. We will miss Evelyn and Rachel when you come back to see us in Lemoore.
Praising and thanking the Lord for traveling mercies and for bringing you safely back to Manila.
I am missing you guys already. Can hardly wait for your coming back next year. Miss you Rachel.
Can’t wait to have the family back together again too.
